Virgin Voyages Help & Support for Onboard Health and Safety
Onboard Health and Safety
Is there a doctor on board?
You bet. We'll have a licensed physician and nurses on board at all times while sailing.
What happens if I get sea sick?
Medical Services are located on Deck 4. If it's an emergency, dial 911 on any phone, or press SOS on the app and tablet.
I'm having motion discomfort. Where can I go for medical assistance?
Head to Deck 4 where our Medical Center is located, and we can help get you sorted out.
Do I have to wear a mask on board?
Our most important goal is to keep you safe and healthy, and with emerging variants — we all need to be extra mindful while traveling. Based on local regulations, masks may be required during embarkation and disembarkation in COVID testing sites, terminal buildings, and while on shuttle bus services.
Masks will be provided on request. We’ll be following local government guidelines at each port as it pertains to mask-wearing, and we ask that you follow the experts’ advice and do the same while traveling.

What happens if a Sailor feels sick or tests positive while on board?
Sailors who are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 should immediately contact our medical center so that we can provide the appropriate care and treatment if required. Our Medical Crew is equipped to test for COVID-19.
In the event a positive case of COVID-19 is identified, we immediately enact a series of proven protocols, including isolation and contact tracing, to identify, isolate and mitigate any further transmission. These measures are above and beyond most other industries because we are resolutely focused on keeping our Crew and Sailors well.

Can I bring medical marijuana onboard if I have a medical card in my home state/country?
No. Our ships are flagged in the Bahamas, and as such we are bound by Bahamian law as applied to our ship operations. Per the Bahamian Maritime Authority, products of any type containing CBD or THC are illegal and are prohibited from being brought onboard or used on Bahamian ships. As a result, these items cannot be brought on our ships and will be confiscated as a violation of our ticket contract. Also, depending on the substance and amount, the matter may be referred to law enforcement.
Do you have sanitary pads or tampons available onboard?
You'll find feminine products and other essential travel items available at the Necessities Shop on Deck 6 for your convenience. You can also find them in the Medical Center on Deck 4.
How do I properly dispose of feminine products while onboard?
Bags are provided in your Sailor cabin. Should you require additional bags during your voyage, please reach out to your cabin host.
What should I do if I forget my medication at home?
We strongly recommend that you bring any required medications in your carry-on to ensure you have them with you during your voyage. Our onboard pharmacy is limited to common medications, such as those for blood pressure or diabetes, and may not carry everything you need.
If you’ve already boarded the ship and realize you’ve forgotten your medication, please visit the Medical Center on Deck 4 as soon as possible. Our medical team will do their best to assist you based on available resources.
